About Us:
Trellis Legal is a small, woman-owned law firm that specializes in providing transactional legal services to small businesses and entrepreneurs. Our team is passionate about helping businesses navigate complex legal issues, and we pride ourselves on offering personalized, client-centered solutions. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented legal intern to join our team for the Spring 2025 semester, with potential for transition to summer internship as well.
Position Overview:
As a Legal Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a variety of legal tasks while working closely with our attorneys and office manager. Your responsibilities will include legal research, contract drafting, blog and resource creation, and supporting day-to-day operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your legal skills in a supportive, collaborative environment while making a meaningful contribution to the firm's work.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents.
Conduct legal research on a variety of business law topics.
Help with blog writing, resource creation, and content development for our website.
Provide general support to the attorneys and office manager on a variety of administrative and legal tasks.
Copyediting and reviewing legal documents for accuracy and clarity.
Participate in team meetings and provide input on ongoing projects.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited law school.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges in the field of small business law.
Previous internship or work experience in a legal setting is a plus, especially in business law, but not required.
Schedule & Compensation:
10 hours per week during the Spring 2025 semester, with potential for additional hours in the summer.
$17/hour.
